Fun Things to Do in Mooloolaba with Kids
1. Swim at the Beach
Mooloolaba Beach is the perfect beach for swimming with little ones. There are lifeguards year-round, and you can usually find a shady spot underneath the trees. When the kids are done swimming and building sandcastles, head over to the beach playgrounds for some fun.
2. Visit SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast
SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast is an aquarium home to sharks, penguins, sea turtles and rays. Kids can learn about animals, play in the indoor playgrounds and grab a snack at the cafe. There is a seal presentation and an Ocean Tunnel that you can walk through and watch sharks, rays and turtles.
3. Walk along the Mooloolaba Esplanade
The Mooloolaba Esplanade is a scenic walkway that runs along the coast. It’s pram and bike-friendly too. Stop and enjoy the view, or check out a cafe or restaurant for a bite.
4. Splash in the Rock Pools from Alex to Mooloolaba
Little ones will love to splash around the rock pools along the coastline. Pack a sun hat, sunscreen and snacks for a fun morning or afternoon checking out the different rock pools.

Whether you’re in the mood for donuts from Kenilworth Bakery or want to enjoy lunch at Rice Boi, there are plenty of places to dine at The Wharf. We love checking out the boats and grabbing a gelato for a treat.

Let your little ones climb, swing and explore at the park. We love visiting the parks in Mooloolaba because they have the best ocean views. There are also picnic tables, barbecues and plenty of space to run around.
