In a shock to absolutely no one, I spend a lot of my time online shopping. While that does mean I’m occasionally tempted into purchases I definitely don’t need, it also means I spot trends the second they start bubbling up.

Because let’s be honest, coloured jeans in the 2010s meant electric turquoise skinny jeans styled with equally loud tees, piled-on accessories and makeup looks best left in the archives. This new wave, however, feels infinitely more refined, styled back with crisp blouses, sleek tailoring and just the right amount of polish to make it feel chic.

And while we’re heading into the cooler months, it might not seem like the obvious choice. But a pop of colour against a sea of greys, blacks and neutrals? That’s an instant it-girl move. And honestly? I’m completely sold.
