7 of The Best Wine Subscription Boxes in Australia – 2023 Edition

Don’t you love the world we live in? We don’t even have to leave our house, or even get up off the couch to have wine delivered directly to our doors. Having tried and tested a number of wine clubs and wine subscription boxes over the years, I thought it was about time I put together a post on my favourites + a few I haven’t tried but really want to!

Please note: There are affiliate links throughout this post, which means I may earn a small amount of commission if you click through and purchase. All opinions are my own and I only recommend products/services that I use/would use myself. Life’s too short for bad wine after all 😉

1. Good Pair Days

I have been working with and supporting Good Pair Days virtually since they started out in 2017 and were then known as The Wine Gallery. I love what they do so much, that I continue to this day get a monthly wine subscription box from them (I pay for it now).

They are a super fun, modern day wine company who not only reward their new subscribers but continually give their members new and exciting perks all the time. Alongside the epic range of wines, you also receive tasting notes and matching recipes with all the wines and awesome rewards like branded insulated mugs, tea towels, corkscrews and the above wicked cheeseboard esky! You can read my full Good Pair Days review here.

Cost: Bottles from $14 and free shipping with 4 bottle boxes or more

Frequency: You choose!

Delivery: Australia-wide

Pros: Free gifts, wines are matched based on their Palate Quiz, tasting notes and recipes with every bottle, badges and point loyalty system

2. Halliday Wine Club

I was recently asked to trial the Halliday Wine Club which is brought to us by the Wine Companion. You can read my full review of the Halliday Wine Club here, however long story short, I think it’s great if you’re looking for quality wines delivered to your door.

Again it’s another wine subscription I was sent to try out and then continued on the subscription at my own cost. I find it’s a great way to build up my cellar collection of good bottles to bring out for special occasions. You are sent 2 bottles every month.

Cost: $129 per month if you are a member, or $139 for non-members (Plus use my discount code for 25% off your first month – CASEY25)

Frequency: Monthly

Delivery: Australia-wide

Pros: Free corkscrew in your first box, all bottles are gold medal wines that are rated at 95+ points, new members will get a digital Halliday membership included, pause/skip/cancel at any time

3. Emperor Champagne Club

If you are a Champagne lover then the Emperor Champagne Club wine subscription is an absolutely must. This is another one I am personally signed up for and love it. I find their website and customer service at times below average, but what they fall short on there, they make up for with great products.

You can choose to either sign up for 1 or 2 bottles delivered each month.

Cost: $139-$249

Frequency: Monthly

Delivery: Australia-wide

Pros: 5-8% discount on their website, tickets to exclusive club events, crystal flutes with first membership, tasting notes and monthly video

4. Wonder Vine Club by Austin’s Wines

This winery is local to me on the Bellarine Peninsula. They are about 20 minutes out of central Geelong. Since they started their Wonder Vine Wine Club, I have been onboard as I love their wines and they have some epic perks. Especially if you live in the area!

Basically the gist of it is that you have to order 12 bottles every 6 months. You can choose what you order and you receive 25% all year round on not only your club orders but any other purchases you make. This makes it such a good deal if you ask me.

Cost: Bottle prices from $18.75 after discount

Frequency: 6-monthly

Delivery: Australia-wide (included free except for NT)

Pros: 25% off purchases online and at the cellar door, complimentary glass of wine for you and a guest every time you visit the cellar door, invitations to exclusive events, first chance to purchase small batch wines, pause or cancel anytime.

5. Wine Subscriptions by Wine Selectors

If you haven’t realised yet, Wine Selectors offer a number of wine subscription plans. The last time I checked, I think there was about 15 different plans you could choose from, or you could create your own.

What I really like about what Wine Selectors are doing is that you can order a ‘Sample Wine Subscription’pack like I am holding in the picture above for only $60. This pack aims to give you a taste of their full subscriptions. Read more about the Sampler Wine Subscription.

The only thing I am not a fan of is that it sounds like you have to call up the customer service team to make any changes to your subscription. In my opinion you should be able to do all this online easily. However I am not a phone person, so this may just be a negative for me!

Cost: From $112 for a 6-pack

Frequency: You choose and you can adjust this at anytime

Delivery: Australia-wide (free for orders over $320)

Pros: Detailed tasting notes included, you will get a copy of the Selector Magazine, $40 gift card on your birthday, a copy of their annual food and wine calendar, member only discounts for events.

6. The Black Market Club by Vinomofo

I am not going to lie, Vinomofo’s wine subscription, aptly named ‘The Black Market Club’sounds like a pretty great deal. If you want cheap per bottle prices, then this is the club for you! As you can see from the above, you either choose to get a case of wine every month or every other month. The cost is $139 for 12 which means less than $12 per bottle + free shipping.

A great way to keep nice and stocked up on your everyday drinking wines I reckon 😉

Cost: $139 per 12 pack

Frequency: Monthly or Bimonthly

Delivery: Australia-wide and FREE!

Pros: 60-70% off RRP, free delivery, a complete surprise – you won’t find out what’s in your mixed pack until it arrives (for some this is a pro and some it’s not), no printed tasting notes – you get a link to the online version
